Learning Together Program (requires internal Boeing network access)
The
Learning Together Program will recognize flight training taken in two
methods: through an academically accredited institution, and as a
non-accredited incentive program. Requirements are described for each.
Accredited Flight Training
Ground school and instructor fees will be covered by The Learning
Together Program if:
-
The flight-training program (private,
commercial, helicopter, etc.) is taken through a regionally or
nationally academically accredited institution.
-
Institutions are academically
accredited by agencies recognized by CHEA. If the flight training
program is a degree program.
-
An employee will be eligible for the restricted stock
unit award (or cash equivalent for international participants) upon
completion.
-
An employee will not be eligible for any additional
incentive payment.
Note: Aircraft rental and/or insurance is not covered by LTP.
Non-Accredited Flight Training
Training provided through Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
certified instruction, but not taken through a regionally or nationally
academically accredited institution, is acknowledged by The Learning
Together Program as an incentive.
When an employee takes flight training through an institution not
accredited by a qualifying national or regional accrediting agency, and
the employee qualifies for a solo flight and a private pilots license,
incentive payments according to the following schedule will be made:
-
$500 (before taxes) upon successful completion of
first solo flight
-
$1000 (before taxes) upon receipt of pilot's license
This pertains to the acquisition of a
private pilot's license of single-engine fixed-wing aircraft or rotary
powered aircraft.
